Get Moving!

Welcome back to the new term! I am pleased to hear that so many of you have been busy with BTDI activities. It must be frustrating not to be able to get out to complete them all, but I know some of you have made good use of your gardens or your daily walks.

If you have completed your passport, well done! I will award your badge and certificate once school re opens.

In the meantime, I have included a link to an activity you might like to try!

Forest Bathing

“Outdoor learning really does boost children’s academic performance and development, according to new research.

It leads to them being more engaged, attentive, self-motivated and disciplined, say scientists.”

If you have finished your BTDI and would like some extra ideas, I would like to encourage you to look at the following website about Forest Bathing. If you download the booklet there are some nice ideas for you to take part in.

Autumn Walks

I have been so pleased to award several bronze and silver badges this half term! Please do use half term as an opportunity to complete some more activities.

If you would like an additional activity, I would like to encourage you to take part in an Autumn Colour Walk. Have a look at the link below for some inspiration. You do not have to do one of the National Trust walks, you may like to do one in your local area. You could also investigate a new area if you are away on holiday. I will look forward to seeing all you beautiful photographs from your Autumn Colour Walks!

Summer Challenge

I would like to challenge you to try something new this summer! Whether it’s a new adventure, visiting a new country, trying a new food or learning a new language…just have a go! Perhaps you could keep a scrapbook of all the new things you try.

How many new things will you try this summer?

Drop In Sessions

Thank you to all the boys who have already shown me their Been There Done It scrapbooks. I have really enjoyed looking at them.

Please do bring them to the following Drop In sessions so we can have another look!

Pre Prep – Wednesday 26th June (class teachers will bring you to Mrs Turk’s office in the afternoon)

Year 4-8 Thursday 27th June in Mr Walker’s office during first break

Year 3 Friday 28th in Mrs Cortes’ office during first break

Please do not worry if they are not finished. This is just an opportunity to discuss what you have done so far.

If you have lost your scrapbook or passport please let me know and I will replace them.

Many thanks!
